Meguiars MotorEx happens only once a year and is regarded as the most prestigious modified motor show in Australia. This is worth the wait!

With the event celebrating its 8th birthday, this years annual MotorEx, held on the 5th and 6th July, at the Sydney Showground, Sydney Olympic Park, has proved to be the most successful show to date with more entrants and spectators than ever, claiming the title for the best modified motoring event in Sydney.
Australia’s most contested national elite show car series Meguiar’s Superstars concluded for 07/08 on Saturday 5th July at Meguiar’s MotorEx. With awards in different categories, the “Best of Breed” winners were:
- Street Machine Superstars - Laurie Seguna’s 1983 Gemini
- Hot Rod Superstars - Peter Elliot’s 1937 Ford Roadster
- Hi-Tech Tuner Superstars - Sean Parsons’ 1998 Subaru WRX

“The finals at MotorEx is always an amazing spectacle, when the best of the best come from all over Australia to display together for the first and only time. We congratulate each finalist and their crew for continuing to strive for excellence and their commitment to making the Superstars series so successful” says Bruce Morrison, Managing Director, Meguiar’s MotorActive.
One of the many highlights of MotorEx is The House of Kolor Inauguration, where a new generation of showstoppers were unveiled for the first time on Saturday morning to the public and press. This year, there were a number of custom rides and bikes debuted, after 12months of secretive design and construction behind closed doors.

This year was also the first time Freestyle Magazine participated in the prestigious event. Out in force, we had a massive stand positioned well displaying Volume 3 and 4’s cover cars; Darrell Leemhuis’ BOOSTED Holden Rodeo, and Adrian Mancini’s ISSUEZ Honda Accord. Promoting our past and present releases we were exposed to a large crowd with the scene set of traditional lowriders surrounding our stand.
With Meguiar’s MotorEx 2008 being such a great success, we sure can't wait for ’09!
