The long awaited countdown to rally superstar Ken Block’s Gymkhana 3 video has ended, and what was revealed today is a music video featuring a hip-hop group named The Cool Kids, with a little bit of Ken Block and his rally Fiesta sprinkled in.
Unlike the last two Gymkhana videos, which became instant YouTube sensations thanks to non-stop footage of Block doing amazing stunts behind the wheel of his rally Subaru Impreza WRX STI hatchback, Gymkhana 3: Part 1 is a straight up music video informercial that shows off Block’s DC apparel and products more than his driving skill. When we do see the rally Fiesta in its Gymkhana debut, Block is either doing donuts or driving it directly into – and not around – things like paint cans and fluorescent bulbs.
Were told that the plan was to separate the marketing from what the kids really want, which is footage of Block doing things with a car that prove he’s superhuman behind the wheel. So Part 1 of Gymkhana 3 is the one with the marketing message, while Part 2 we’re told will be much more like Gymkhana 1 with just the driving footage. So when can we expect Gymkhana 3: Part 2 to drop, early-to-mid September is the answer!

Big mini truck show up at Port Macquarie this weekend. Freestyle Magazine will be heading up this weekend to cover the event!

I am really getting sick of all the new ads coming out that are all hybrid this, green that! So it was refreshing to see Subaru in the U.S releasing these new ads for the 2011 WRX aimed at people that actually enjoy ripping it up! I have to say they are pretty cool and by only showing the peoples reactions to the experience is a top idea! Check ‘em out HERE

The mad men behind Pilot Extra-Fine ball-pens (aka Barcelona’s Grey agency) have created a great viral marketing featuring LEGOS with drawn on “badass” tattoos. Straight out of your mother’s nightmares, these LEGOS have dedications to Harley Davidson, lots of angry skulls and in one instance, a rather racy tramp stamp!

Just got back from taking a few shots at the setup of Meguiar’s MotorEx. This really is gonna be one crazy show this weekend out at Sydney Olympic Park.
With the front mount just hiding behind what looks like a Nissan S15 front bar, this is gonna be one crazy car to be unveiled. I can see it also has suicide doors and a suicide boot lid.
This has to be some kind of American Muscle… I am pretty sure it is a Camaro from looking at the front end of it.

The length of this is almost two cars long, its gotta be a Cadillac, I am sure it is Mario’s purple one from last year.
Gotta love the Range Rover Vogue rear lights.
From the boxy shape of this, I would say this is a Toyota Rakus. LO4SHO is in the background.

Just spotted GRLPWR getting detailed. Looks like it has just come out of hibernation with the amount of dust built up on it! But talk about a blast from the past, this Charade is from back in the day when PPG Cyan to Purple Harlequin paint and 18 inch Momo’s where crazy, but then to have that teamed up with a kit that took inspiration off CYBER1 from Cyber Motorsports, this Charade was on a whole new level.
Back in 2002, this was the first Hi-Tech Tuner Superstar at MotorEx! This could be one of the invited cars coming back this weekend to Meguiar’s MotorEx to be shown again as one of the Champions of the Decade?
